This is my entry for Solidarity Contest by here [link]
The theme is related to fighting against poverty.


Inspiration:

"To fight against poverty, we can lend a hand."

A helping hand is the concept that was developed based on this fact.

A helping hand is portrayed as a power that can free someone from poverty (represented here by a nearly drown man in the glass orb)
The inside part of the orb is intentionally shadowed+textured to show the seriousness of the problem as quoted here:

In the World...
"An estimated 25.000 people die from an effect of hunger everyday. That's about One person every four seconds."

A helping hand can help the man to break the glass, to go out from the problem and thus enjoy this beautiful world just like everyone else.

The tree, the light rays here symbolize hope for the man. With a helping hand, we can make sure that the hope is not just a hope, we can help him to realize his dream.

Here I would like to encourage all of us to lend a hand to fight against poverty all around the world. Let us try our best to help in any possible way that we can. Let us lend our helping hand

I didn't come from a rich family myself but I always do as much as I can to help others who are less fortunate than me. For me, no matter how little the help is, it is better than to do nothing at all. The society needs all of us - to help and to share, for a better future for all.

I made this because I saw her journal challenging everyone to participate.

And...this is also dedicated to for being kind enough to explain to me further about this contest.
At first, I did not really understand about the contest but she tried her best to explain.
